A refined and quietly powerful work, Big Ben captures one of Britain’s most recognisable structures through Imogen’s signature thread‑based technique. Where her practice often balances between 2D and 3D, this piece leans into subtle dimensionality - the thread sitting delicately above the painted board, creating a soft architectural relief.
Big Ben is depicted through a warm monochrome palette of creams, soft browns and charcoal accents, chosen specifically to harmonise with the interior of the suite for which it is exhibited within for the present artist residency. The work forms a visual dialogue with Grand Hotel, Imogen’s first commission for The Grand Hotel Birmingham displayed within the reception area, created using the same technique and palette. Together, the two pieces unite London and Birmingham - two iconic British structures displayed within one of the country’s most historic landmark properties.

All artists within the exhibition are curated and represented by the Charles Pedone Art Collective.
This contemporary artwork is presented as part of an exclusive three‑month residency in collaboration with The Grand Hotel Birmingham and is available exclusively via pedoneart.com for the duration of the exhibition.
The collection remains on private display until 1st July, after which all pre‑secured works will be released and delivered to collectors. Works may be acquired and secured throughout the residency period.
For select pieces, a limited number of editions are available to order, offering collectors the opportunity to acquire original contemporary art with controlled scarcity and long‑term value. Availability is strictly limited and confirmed upon direct enquiry.
Delivery & Shipping
Complimentary delivery is offered within a 50‑mile radius of The Grand Hotel Birmingham.
For all other UK and international locations, specialist fine art couriers will be arranged at cost price, with no additional handling fees. Delivery is coordinated to suit private collectors, interior designers, and trade clients.
International shipping is available upon request. All customs duties and import taxes remain the responsibility of the buyer.
